Louisville Local Artist: David Schuster

Bardstown and Bonnycastle. You have to look closely at the image before you realize it’s not actually a photograph. Louisville local artist David Schuster’s paintings challenge the viewer’s eye to determine what is real and what’s not.

His subject matter widely varies but I am drawn into his paintings of iconic Louisville scenes. I was so excited to showcase his artwork in our 2010 Homearama Showcase Home. He truly captures the mood and movement of the events that he paints and it couldn’t be more apparent in his equine racing series that was showcased recently at the Brown Hotel Art Gallery.
